Make a joyful noise! Wharton Arts announces the return of its CAFÉ (Creative Aging for Everyone) Choir. In partnership with the Summit Area YMCA, Wharton Arts faculty will work with participants for eight weeks, during which the choir will learn several songs with piano accompaniment in preparation for a final concert at the Wharton Black Box Theater in Berkeley Heights. Pathways to Music Theory is a great way to supplement your child’s first years of private lesson study on any instrument. Learn the building blocks of music through the Royal Conservatory of Music’s renowned Celebrate Theory program.
In this class, children will have the opportunity to create their own play. Participants will be guided through a series of improvisation games and exercises to develop characters, settings, and plot. These activities will culminate in an original scripted show to rehearse and perform.

Everyone can sing! Learn the fundamentals of singing including posture, breathing, vowel shaping, voice registration, and communicating through song. Whether you are a beginner or are looking to brush up your skills, group voice class will provide the tools for healthy and beautiful singing within a fun and supportive environment.

Whether you play another instrument or are ready to take your first step into the world of music, the harp is a gentle companion for all beginners. Taught in a supportive group environment, this introductory group harp class unites a beautiful instrument with a fun, social experience.
This 6-week acting class will take you on an exploration of William Shakespeare’s most brilliant characters and plays. Through targeted lessons, acting exercises, and scene work, you will learn about Shakespearean speech, character development, and how to hone your stage presence. The grand finale? You’ll showcase your newfound talents by performing iconic scenes and monologues from Shakespeare’s most beloved plays.
No experience necessary! This class is open to those ages 11 and up who are curious about acting and eager to explore the world of Shakespeare.
