Biography
Bassoonist Hannah Stroh is currently a freelance musician and private lesson teacher. A recent graduate of Rutgers University, BM in Bassoon Performance and BA in Psychology, Hannah studied with Mark Timmerman and Christopher Wickham. Hannah has experience performing orchestral, band, chamber, solo and opera repertoire, and is frequently playing with regional orchestras throughout New Jersey. After her undergraduate study, Hannah co-founded the woodwind trio "Reed Theory" -- a contemporary chamber group that focuses on uplifting underrepresented artists, performing new music and commissioning compositions from young composers. As the bassoonist of "Reed Theory", Hannah was a first prize recipient of the Prima Volta Music Competition - Summer Edition and bronze prize recipient of the American Classical Music Awards.
In addition to her musical endeavours, Hannah currently works as a Children's Library Assistant, where she puts on story-times and holds events for the library's youngest patrons. Hannah has previous experience as an ABA therapy technician and has taught music to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
