Camerata Director, Coro Vivo Director

Daniel Malloy received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from The College of New Jersey and his Master of Music Education degree from Florida State University. He is the Choir Director at Newton High School where he directs three levels of curricular choir as well as a chamber choir and an a cappella group. He also teaches AP Music Theory and has recently established a music technology program. Dan previously worked in the Madison Public Schools where he taught K-5 general music and choir before going on to teach high school in the same district. At Madison High School he taught chorus, dance, acting, and theater technology, and directed an extracurricular jazz choir. Dan also produced and music directed the spring musicals, for which he earned a Paper Mill Rising Star Award for Best Overall Production in 2019.

Most recently, Dan conducted the 2024 All-North Jersey High School Treble Chorus. He currently serves on the NJ-ACDA board as the High School Youth R&R Chair. He previously taught private voice lessons at the Roxbury Community School and sang with Harmonium Choral Society for many years. Currently, Dan can be seen performing with Vocala Ensemble under the direction of Martin Sędek and Elevation under the direction of Arreon A. Harley-Emerson. Additionally, Dan is active as a performer and music director in musical theater across North Jersey.
