Being a member of WASLA has been a fantastic experience for my community connection to Wharton Arts, as well as a strong opportunity for learning and leadership. My comfort and skills in communicating professionally with staff and students have increased significantly, and I have gained more self-confidence in presenting my ideas in a formal setting. Mrs. Joyce and Ms. Helen have been exemplary mentors and have taught me and my friends how to plan arts projects and events with efficiency and creativity. As someone exploring career options in hospitality and event planning, this experience has been especially useful for my goals. I am so grateful to be able to work with WASLA this year and make an impact on Wharton Arts as a whole.
