Sean Kruger, New Providence HS, NJYS
From my time in WASLA I’ve learned a lot about what really goes on behind the scenes of a nonprofit like Wharton Arts. I’ve been in the program for six years through the New Jersey Youth Symphony, but until I became a WASLA leader I had no idea of the scale of the support network needed to keep the program running. I’ve also learned a lot about emceeing and public speaking, from the best way to speak to properly convey the message to how to tailor talking points to the specific audience. I think this position will help me grow in the future by giving me some good exposure to administrative work.
