Working behind the scenes on big projects like Wharton Arts Day has given me a new appreciation for all the effort that goes into such fundraising and performances events. Since joining WASLA, I’ve become more experienced in communicating respectfully and effectively with adults as well as with my peers. Working to meet real deadlines has highlighted the importance of working seriously and promptly to accomplish a task. My favorite aspect of WASLA has been the opportunities to step out of my comfort zone and try things like speaking on stage and introducing songs. WASLA has helped me gain personal confidence and develop myself as a leader.
