INSPIRATION
“To me, inspiration is what keeps music alive. It’s the feeling you get when you see or hear something that makes you want to create something of your own. Inspiration can truly come from anywhere whether it’s through family, friends, teachers, or even the world around us. What I love most about it is how it spreads. When someone puts their heart into what they’re doing, it encourages others to do the same. Inspiration reminds me that art isn’t about being perfect either; it’s about connecting with people. I’ve seen and felt that during rehearsals and performances as well.
Watching someone completely lose themselves in their music makes me want to experience that same passion too. At Wharton Arts, I think inspiration means lifting each other up and realizing how much we can grow together. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and brings their own stories, but when we share what inspires us, it helps everyone grow. It’s like passing on a torch that keeps getting brighter. For me, being inspired also means inspiring others. If something I create makes even one person feel understood or motivated, that’s the best feeling.”
