“New Jersey Youth Symphony (NJYS) musicians have brought their talents to the community through a variety of engaging performances this 2024-25 season. In November, they presented a free concert featuring flutes and clarinets at The Fellowship Village, followed by a December holiday concert with flutes at Autumn Lake. The annual Playathon also stands out as a special event, where 20% of the funds raised on the day are donated to a nonprofit organization supporting children, combining music with a meaningful philanthropic impact. Last year, New Jersey Youth Symphony raised $3,461 for Children’s Specialized Hospital.
Last season, NJYS musicians performed free chamber ensemble concerts at CareOne Livingston and Lantern Hill in New Providence, and delighted audiences with an evening of jazz at The Fellowship Village. These concerts underscore NJYS’s dedication to sharing the joy of music with diverse audiences in the community.” – Helen H. Cha-Pyo, Artistic Director & Principal Conductor, New Jersey Youth Symphony
