Taking place on the summer solstice (June 21) each year, Make Music is a day of music celebrated by cities in dozens of countries around the world. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician – young and old, amateur and professional is invited to participate and share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.

This year is the inaugural year of Make Music Paterson! Make Music Paterson is a collaboration between the City of Paterson, Paterson Public Schools, William Paterson University and Paterson Music Project. The current schedule includes:

• 12-2 PM: William Paterson University Music Department
• 2-4 PM: Paterson Music Project
• 4-6 PM: Open for anyone to sign up to perform
