My Teaching Philosophy
I view lessons as a collaboration between myself and the student, and take my cues from them regarding what they hope to get out of lessons and then help guide us there in the best and most enjoyable way possible. I welcome students who simply enjoy learning for fun as well as serious students with ambitious goals for themselves. With serious college-bound students, I provide both the structure to be prepared for the technical demands of studying music in college as well as providing a sounding board for them and honest, open-minded guidance on what it means to have a career in music in the present day.
