My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that everyone has a story to tell and that theater gives us a space to tell ours and to tell others’. For students to progress, I think there has to be a balance between learning the fundamentals of theater and performance and encouraging students to express themselves and take chances onstage. The most important things to me are fostering love and excitement for theater and featuring each student and their strengths. When I was young, music and theater brought me out of my shell, and I am passionate about creating that same safe space for students where all voices are heard.
