Virtual Playathon 2021

March 21, 2021 by Brenda Kohn

Playathon is one of our most beloved traditions at NJYS because it’s the one time each year that all 500 NJYS musicians perform together. Since we can not perform a massive concert at The Mills at Jersey Gardens due to the pandemic, we will celebrate virtually on SUNDAY, MARCH 21!

This online event will include live performances by surprise artists, Q&A with our conductors, giveaways, announcement of the TOP fundraiser, and LIVE AUCTION to win a chance to conduct one of our NJYS ensembles!

Playathon is also NJYS’s largest fundraiser, raising over $90,000 annually. We are trying not to raise tuition to keep NJYS accessible to all families. But NJYS Tuition only covers about 75% of the cost of the program. That means we must fundraise to ensure the highest quality program. That includes performances at the best halls in New Jersey and beyond; master classes, workshops and coaching by world class artists; and scholarship and financial aid opportunities.

Donate to NJYS Playathon and help keep the music alive!
