The New Jersey Youth Symphony Jazz Program performs at the Bickford Theater at the Morris Museum on Sunday, June 2. The concert features performances by NJYS Jazz Combos, Big Band, Jazz Workshop, and Jazz Orchestra led by conductors Julius Tolentino, Shamie Royston, and Dave Schumacher. A veritable feast of all things jazz, audience members can look forward to an evening of Duke Ellington, Dizzie Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, and George Gershwin, among other hits from the genre’s rich history. The concert will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Morris Museum located at 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown.
