NJYS Orchestral Camp: Winds/Brass/Percussion Session
July 5 @ 8:00 am - July 9 @ 5:00 pm
Bryan Rudderow, Director
Summer Winds Camp welcomes two types of students:
Early stage players: 1 to 2 years of experience, beginning to learn the full potential range. Beginning to understand dynamics/articulations/ensemble playing. Beginnings of scales and arpeggios as well as chromatic scale. Can follow a conductor and understand intonation (though not always knowing if they are sharp or flat).
Later stage players: 3+ years of experience on a primary instrument and/or have been asked or have been thinking about playing another, less common instrument (bassoon, oboe, horn, trombone, tuba, etc). Understanding of how to control air and fingers for the purposes of wind playing.
No camp on July 2, 3 & 4 • Concert on Saturday, July 9
