Friday Webinars at Wharton Arts – Stanford Thompson: The Community’s Practice Room

October 9 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Friday Webinars at Wharton Arts is an hour-long weekly program where artists of different disciplines make authentic connections between art and life through sharing their stories, expertise, and creations. These webinars are curated and hosted by Artistic Director Helen H. Cha-Pyo.

This week’s webinar is Stanford Thompson: The Community’s Practice Room

As a graduate of The Curtis Institute of Music and Founder/Executive Director of Play On Philly, Stanford Thompson understands the importance of technical mastery and musical knowledge while adding value to diverse communities of people. Like mastering instrumental technique and ensemble collaboration, building relationships with those around you takes just as much practice as scales and etudes. In today’s challenging times, many of us have a more difficult time defining and pursuing our future aspirations. Stanford will share his inspiring story and unpack several ideas that can help impact the lives of those around you.
