Message from NJYS regarding covid 19

COVID 19 UPDATE View Wharton Arts Covid-19 Protocols

April 2022 Update: Based on the new guidance from the CDC and the lifting of the mask mandate in New Jersey Public Schools, masks will be optional at the New Jersey Youth Symphony effective Monday, April 4, 2022.

We recognize that some of our students and faculty will choose not to wear a mask as of April 4, while others may choose to continue wearing them. Regardless of your individual decision, we ask that all students and staff practice kindness and respect others’ choices and privacy.

In addition to the change in mask policy, we will no longer be asking students to fill out a health questionnaire prior to coming to rehearsals, classes, or private lessons, and we will no longer be checking temperatures upon arrival. We do ask that students stay home when they are sick and inform us if they will be absent. Existing drop off and pick-up procedures will remain in place, as will vaccination and testing protocols for our staff and faculty.

These measures are subject to change should there be an increase in infection rates and/or changes in CDC and New Jersey Health Department Policy.

For all of your questions and requests for information, please contact info@njys.org or (908) 771-5544.
